Look At The New Additons....To My Makeup Collection

Hello boys and girls, dogs and cats. How is every one feeling today? Me not so peachy. Its that week during the month that every woman on Earth wants to die, guys to because they just can't handle our butts. Sorry for the TMI but I think that we have been seeing each other long enough that we can share and care. If not, sorry I'm not that sorry. We are all grown here and if you can't handle it, then you can't handle this relationship. (Sorry that's the hormones. I cried last night watching Faceoff. I am such a sap.) Lets get to the pretties.

Anyways, yesterday I went shopping at the Mall off Georgia, the only place that has a Sephora close to me. I went in with not having a set item that I wanted besides my free birthday gift. I walked around that store for almost 45 minutes looking at all the pretty colors. What a dork I know. I really wanted to buy the Naked Basic Palette 2 on Monday but I thought 'no you don't need it'. Well I was wrong I saw it and swatched it, then it went into the bag. I really love these palettes because they are so small but you can do so much with them. If I can remember correctly they are all matte. I love matte eyeshadows because they are so classic and anyone can wear them. I'm not hating on shimmer, I love them as much as the next, but I tend to be drawn towards the mattes.

I was in line about to pay and you know they get you with the stuff in the bins, well they got me. (damn you Sephora and Ulta) I have been watching MakeupByTiffanyD on Youtube for years and she raves about the Bite lipsticks. I really can't get myself to buy a 20 something dollar lipstick (I am to cheap) but they had a sample that has 2 colors in one tube.

Now how cute is that. I got to try 2 colors for like $10. The pinky one is called Fig, whisch is her favorite, and the browny one is Date.

My free birthday gift two Nars  Lip Pencils. I have never really tried anything from Nars but I am dying to try these. They must really know me because these are my 2 favorite colors at the moment. (They are all the same but I can dream right.)

Lastly I went to the Marshalls that's by the mall and found some goodies. The first two are nail polishes from OPI. The first one (Push and Shove) is a metallic silver and the other one (Carol About You) is a deep purple. I got both to do an anti-Valentines day nail look. The purple is so pigmented that with one coat its good to go. The metallic one is a little fussy so you have to make sure the first coat is really dry or it will pull off what you already out down.

I also found some nail decal cover thingys for $2. These things are like glitter on crack. I want to cut the up and use them like stickers on my nails.

The last thing was an item my husband brought to my attention while we were waiting to check out. I have seen the Max Studios a lot at the Marshals and TJMAXXes and I never knew if it was any good. He found a Baked Bronzer from them and it intrigued me. It was like $2.99 so I got it. It's a marbled bronzer so when I got home I swatched it and was quite surprised. It's very light in color so I know it would work great on lighter skin tones. I want to try it out as a contour color because I haven't gotten use to see a dark contour on my cheeks. Its not so much a "bronzer" as it is a contour color. When I think bronzer I think of warming up my face so I don't look like Casper's sister. It has no shimmer by the way. I'm planning on getting a few more of their stuff when I go shopping again.

I have been shopping here and there for some clothes but I kinda want to get some more before I do a post. Maybe soon I'll do a Spring Clothing haul so keep an eye out for that. Well guys that's all I got on Tuesday. I'm trying out all the products to see how they are. I do have some more money left over and I want to try out some new foundations. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your time with me.

Today Is My Birthday and How Else to Celebrate....By Talking About Me

Hello my lovers. How is everyone doing? Great I'm hoping. On this day 28 years ago a big headed baby was born. He was in the crib next to me. I have been told that I was an angel that ascended from the heavens in a glorious light.....NOT I was born in a storage room in the hospital where they held the extra incubators. My mom always tells me that she only remembers what time I was born because a new episode of the Cosbys was on. How romantic. I fell a little somber today because it feel like just another day. I don't know why I always feel like this, well besides the fact that I have to be at work all night when I would rather be at home or partying. I'm 28, I make it seem like I should have a clown (by the way I am petrified of those creeps, sorry to all the clowns out there) or a new pony. I think its mostly because I'm getting older and birthdays just keep reminding me. OK enough with the boo hooin', lets get to the embarrassing pictures.

It's My Birthday....Dinner

Hey guys sorry this is going up so late, I'm an idiot and I forgot to take my laptop to work. But anyways I wanted to share with my peeps what I wore last night to dinner. I wasn't a big party but my wonderful hubby surprised me by inviting me some of my closest friends. He is so sweet. The funny thing is, today (February 4) is our 9 year anniversary and tomorrow is my actual (28th) birthday. But enough blab and more fab.

I really wanted to have dramatic eyes last night so I went all out. I had to use a few different palettes to get the look I wanted. I used Urban Decays Naked 2 and 3 and their Basics palette (the first one, I need the second one like a bad drug).

I used Faint and Naked 2 in my crease and upper crease
area as a transition color.
I also used W.O.S. as my brow highlight

I used Nooner in my crease area and a mix of Buzz and Trick to my lid area. Using Trick on the center of the lid. I also added a little of Limit on the lower lash line to smoke it out. (I used my finger to apply the lid color.)
I used Tease in the outer corner area and then dragged it into the crease to. I used Bootycall
(the color that's cut off) on the inner corner.

I used 3 different brushes. The black one is a dense blending brush that I love for placing color in my crease (tiny hooded eyes...damn you eyes). The top brush is a fluffier blending brush that I use to blend out the harsh lines. The last brush is  double ended. It has a flatter dense brush that is good for adding color to the crease. I use it at an angle with the bristles pointing down because it helps blend out the color. The other end is a dense pencil brush that is great for smoking out the lower lash line (this brush is so soft).

I did a small wing using the E.L.F. liquid liner in black. This thing is really good and it is only $1 (love itttt).
I highlighted under my eyes using Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15 Fair Clair. It's ok. It creases really fast and makes me look chalky. (I need a new on so if you guys have any recommendation let me know)
I did set my face because I know I can get a little shiny after a while. I really do like this powder and its really cheap.
I did my old faithful and used my favorite lip combo. I mean I really love this look. I want to go back to the 90's and buy all the lip colors that we hated seeing our moms in. I love a matte lip because it make me feel like my lips are bigger and I don't rub my lips together so much so it won't disappear.
I went big last night. I used falsies. I like the strips but the segments or clusters are a lot easier to apply. If you have never tried to apply lashes these are the easiest to do. When you apply them make sure you're looking down into a mirror, and place them where your lashes meet the skin on the lid. If you put them on the lid the oils of the skin will cause them to fall off. I take mine off by just applying a oily makeup remover to my eyes with my hand. They will slide right off. Don't pull them off you will loose some lashes. I used 4 clusters, 2 on each eye. I put them at the outer corners so they can give the "sexy" eyes without the dopy look.
I wanted to be comfy but stylish so I went with some distressed jeans from Marshall's, and a high-low black silky shirt, that I also got at Marshall's. The front has a deeeeep V-neck and the back has a cute simple trim detail. I wore a infinite scarf (big surprise) that has a colorful tribal pattern. On my feet I wore my comfy combat boots. They always add an edge to my outfits that I love.

NOW FOR THE PICTURES.
Sorry for this but I was TOTALLY feeling myself.

I hope you guys enjoy my little get ready with me.
I will be posting a birthday blog for fun.

Are You Ready????? For That Special Day

Hello everybody. How was your weekends? I hope they were filled with fun and chicken wings. Sorry for the Seahawk fans, I was really rooting for them. But lets not talk about that we are all here for some beauty.

My birthday is on Thursday but because I have to work I going out tomorrow (Tuesday). I know I will be taking a lot of pictures and I want to look my best. So I know I have to prep for the big day before hand. I have made the mistake in the past of not preparing ahead of time and having to rush around. Trust me I have left the house still painting my toes (not cute not cute at all).

First off lets start with the skin, because we all know we don't wake up lookin' flawless. I start by cleansing my face as usually but I always use a mask. This time I used the GlamGlow  YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment. This is so nice. It tightens the skin and after 10 minutes you wet it and it exfoliates the skin. My skin was so soft afterwards and the blackheads on my nose were gone. My pores on my cheeks appeared smaller to. I did the mask the day before because I hadn't used it yet and I didn't want a disaster tomorrow.

Cuteness overload.... Not Really
No blackheads.

I know that I started with my face but I really started with my brows. I waxed them and tweezed the before I cleansed my face. I also waxed my legs. I really ask that no one wax themselves unless they know what they are doing. It could get very ugly. But I'm all for tweezing. (By the way ladies can we please stop saying "pluck" or "plucking". We're not chickens.) When you're removing the hair pull in the direction of the hair growth it won't break off and leave you with little stubbies. You also don't want to tweeze or get your brows waxed the day off a special occasion because if there is a mistake, you have time to fix it. When you wax you are removing the top layer of skin and you don't want to put makeup or really any type of product like that on the skin. Make sure you hold the skin taut, it helps it hurt less. I use slanted tweezers that have a handy comb on the end. It makes doing your brows so much easier.

On to the next on on to the next....step that is. Sunday night I washed my hair as usual but I was on Pinterest and saw that if you put coconut oil in your hair and let it sit over night that it helps it grow and it makes it very soft. I did it last week to see what all the hoopla was about and miss ma'am can I tell you it does all of that. It is so silky and my curls are so defined. I just take some in my hand to warm it up and cover my hair roots to ends. I sleep in it but I use a shower cap so it doesn't get all over my pillow. When I woke up this morning I washed my hair as usual and let it air dry. I feel like I should be in a shampoo commercial with these locks.

Greasy coconut hair.

Excuse the weird face but that hair looks good.

All I have left to do tomorrow is my makeup and decide what I'm wearing. Which is the hardest of all. Wish me luck. I'm going to post my makeup, hair and what I'm wearing tomorrow on Wednesday so keep your peepers peeled for it. If you guys have and pins or beauty tips or tricks you would like me to try out just let me know. I love try new things. I hope I have helped you guys prepare for a special day or just the next day. I know prom is coming up so I hope you guys see this as helpful.

So Fresh and So Clean....Face That Is

Hello my beautiful people. How is everybody doing? Wonderful...that's great. I am here to share with you my skin care routine. It's not very fancy or extravagant it's actually very simple.

I learned a lot in esthetics school about how the skin works and how to put your best face forward. in school we used the Dermalogica skin care line. It is a very good line that uses mostly natural ingredients but it is a bit pricey. You can buy their products online or in store like Ulta and Sephora. The best part about their lines is that you can "cocktail" their products to what your skin needs.

I have oily skin that is dry in some spots and is very testy and can brake out at the drop of the hat. I break out mostly on my cheeks and get millia (hard "balls" of oil under the skin) in my under eye area. Because I have oily skin I have large pores that get clogged easily.

Now for the fun part. I use the Dermalogica Special Cleanse (oily skin cleanser), their Daily Microfoliant (exfoliant), and Alba Botanica Acne Dote (astringent). Everybody should exfoliate their face at least twice a week depending on their skin. People who thin skin shouldn't exfoliate to much because their skin is prone to getting "torn". I exfoliate everyday but not with a harsh granular (grainy) exfoliant. I also use the Olay Professional brush every other day (helps exfoliate my face). To save on time (because sometimes we just don't have that much time) I mix the Daily Microfoliant with the cleanser (look at me killin' 2 steps with 1 stone).  Exfoliating also helps you get rid of the old cells that sit on top of your skin (these cells make ya look older...uhh no thank you). By the way don't forget to include your neck because when we age our neck and hands scream to the world how old we really are.

So after I'm done washing my face I pat it dry and use my Alba Acne Dote. It is always good to tone the face so I put a little in a spray bottle and spray it all over my face. Toner or astringent not only helps remove any left over residue but it also moistens the face before you apply your moisturizer. I always use my Clean and Clear Advantage acne control moisturizer BUT I mix it with either my Dermalogica Active Moist (in the morning, helps control my oil) or my Equate Night-Time firming cream (at night, because mama needs to keep her face lookin' young). I really like the Clean and Clear because I have noticed that it is helping keep my break outs on the low low.

When I have to take my eye makeup off I use the Equate Beauty Oil-Free eye makeup remover. This stuff is really really good. I wear contacts and have pretty sensitive eyes and it doesn't bother me at all.

Sometimes when my face is in need of some extra lovin' I use the Glamglow SuperMud Clearing Treatment. I got this for Christmas from my husband (who bought it at Marshals). I love this so much because I'm one of those weirdos who likes watching the stuff come out of my skin. It's so liberating lol. I usually just put it on my problem areas such as my nose, chin and cheeks. Glamglow also has a hydrating mask that I use when my face is thirsty.

I don't use an eye cream because I'm on the hunt for an oil-free yet nourishing one because the ones I have tried cause millia under my eyes and they are so annoying (like little mountains of yuck...ewww). So if you guys have any suggestions please help a sista out.

I hope this has helped you all or at least gave you some ideas if you're in the market for some new facial products.

Today I'm going to leave you with some sexy photos of me with my mask. Please if you have a weak stomach do not look at them...lol

So sexy...lol NOT!!!! I have coconut oil in my hair that's why it looks so greasy. Look at those pores just gettin' so clear.

Hoped you enjoyed reading.

My Everyday Face

Hello beautiful people!!!
How is everyone's weekend going so far? I hope everyone is doing great, I on the other hand am spending my Saturday night at work. Blahhh. Any who boo, I wanted to share my everyday face with you guys. Well not my face face but the makeup that I wear everyday. It does change depending on how I'm feeling or how much time I have to send on it. I do a little more on my days off because I have extra time to make myself look fine...lol not really but we will go with it.

I work in a BBQ restaurant (for now) so I really don't like putting to much on my face because I do have an oily face that is prone to breakouts. I will be sharing my skin care routine with you guys on Monday so hold onto your seats till then. But lets get off that tangent and back to what we all here for....MAKEUP!!!!!!!

Like I said I don't wear to much the picture below shows the "foundation" items:

I use a foundation mixture in Revlon Age Defying Firm and Lift in 30 Soft Beige and Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless in 125 Nude Beige. My bronzer is a sample of Benefit's Hula Bronzer (I love this stuff). My go to winter/fall blush is by NYX in PB04 Silky Rose and last but not least my everyday (except when I want boom in your face lashes) is the Maybelline Great Lash (oh how it brings back memories of my mom doing her makeup when I was little).

The "tools" I use are the beloved cult classic Beauty Blender (I need the little baby ones they make because I love miniature things lol), and 2 E.L.F (Eyes Lips Face) brushes. Sidebar for a second I love E.L.F. they are sooooo cheap but they have some of the best stuff especially if you are just starting out in makeup and you want to start your collection. The brushes are so nice too. I use the E.L.F professional Total Face Brush for my bronzer and the E.L.F Stippling Brush for my blush because it doesn't pick up to much product so its not a harsh clown look.

I mix the 2 foundations and dot them all over my face and blend them out with the Beauty Blender, making sure that I cover my neck and ears too...we don't need the mask face ladies, I had a teacher in the fourth grade that didn't blend it out and I always wanted to run up to her and finish the job she started. Oh how it errks the bajeshish out of me.

I then proceed to apply my bronzer to my cheeks, temples and neck (DON'T FORGET THE NECK) and use my stippling for my blush. I apply blush to the apples of my cheeks and blend back to my hairline. I put a little on my nose and forehead because this is such a warm color it looks natural. Please don't do this with a bright pink because you will look like you have rosacea.

On to the next on on to the next (name that song lol). Its my favorite part.....LASHES!!! I don't know about you guys but when I curl my lashes it makes such a difference. I have good lashes I think but the curling makes the look so sexy. I got the Great Lash on sale on Black Friday for $2.99. It is so good to be drugstore product, plus the brush is to cool.
Left eye has mascara and the right does not

I don't wear lipstick to work (I don't know how people will react to me wearing MACs Rebel to a BBQ restaurant lol) so I just put on some of my new found fave that I got in my January Ipsy bag which is (MALIN+GOETZ) mojito lip balm. then I'm done. It usually takes me all of 5-10 minutes depending on who bothers me while I'm trying to get ready.

I hope you guys enjoyed and it helped you a little bit. This is also good for high school or college students or even moms who have really no time. Or if you are like me and you just don't want to have to fuss to much but you don't want to go out bare faceded. Oh my terminology is so scholar.

Thanks for reading. Love guys for all the support.
