Bling Bling For Cheap Cheap

Hello beautifuls, how is everyone doing? I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Also I hope yall are staying warm. I am so mad because it wanted to "snow" yesterday but it didn't want to stick. I would love to be able to say home all day. This gloomy weather is great for sitting on the couch with a warm fire and a good book, I wish I had a new book. Anywho boos I have been obsessed with jewelry lately. So I have been on the hunt for some versatile pieces. If you are anything like me you like have pieces that you can wear any day at any time.

I was at Burlington a few months ago and found some bracelets that I thought I needed in my life. They are simple but can really add to an outfit. I love flowers in jewelry, its so delicate and feminine. The best part about them....$1.99. I like getting pieces that are cheap because if they break or I loose them I wont feel so bad. I really want to see if I can find one in an aqua or teal color and in white.

The next few pieces are from Wally World or Walmart. The best time to look for things is when the seasons are changing. I have been eyeing a few of these things for sometime now but never jumped the gun. They are originally $5 each which is not bad but I can think of other things that I can do with 5 big ones lol. The first one is a simple silver 2 chain (its 2 chainz, don't lie you know you just said it like he does haha) necklace with circles. I like it because I can really wear it with anything. This one was $1, steal.

The next 2 are the same but different colors. The store I went to only had these 2. I want to go to some of the other ones and see if I can find more. I got them because they were marked down to $3, so I was like what the hay lets do it. When we were leaving I looked at the receipt and saw the rang up as a $1 each. I saw that and the search has begun. I know that they have some other ones that are a little more "showy" that are now $5, down from $10. I haven't seen any of those that I really want but I'm going to keep looking.

I'm  planning on doing a little for hunting for some more stuff so I'll keep you guys updated. I just wanted to share a few things I got. I know that there are Walmarts all over the place so I thought I would share some of my finds so that you guys can go down there and see what treasures you can dig up. Happy hunting. Thanks for stopping by guys and for all the support.

Yes Sir May I Have Another....Polish That Is

Hello you gorgeous interweb people. How is the day treating you? Well I hope you guys are staying warm. I am freezing my buns off down here in HotLanta...NOT, I love the winter and all but this is getting redic. If its going to be cold enough to snow then let it freakin' snow. So let's move on to the more interesting stuff.....Nail Polish!!!!!! So I have to add something, as I was writing this it started to snow. I guess mother nature heard me and decided to let it snow. Me and my big mouth.

Ok so yesterday we went to Ross and I found some great deals. I got the Ciate polish (in Cream Soda) for .99, yes less than a dollar. I could not pass on that. The Formula X from Sephora (in UR Square, pink glittery one) for $2.99 and the other one (in Catalyst, purple one) for again .99. I don't know why they were so cheap because they work great. I guess they just had to get rid of them, hey I'll get them off your hands real quick for a dollar.

I got the Essie one (in Sable Collar) for $3.99 at Marshals. I have really been into the matte colors lately and I thought this color would look so cool matte. I also found this Rebel Chic kit by Orly in the clearance aisle. It was $8 for this thing. Now that's a deal because the polish alone is almost $10. It really caught my eye because of the pearl studs and the little skulls. I love the polish (in Iron Butterfly) because it has glitter and its a matte shade. Hello beautiful where have you been all my life. I mean I put it on last night and could not stop looking at my nails.

I didn't just get the polishes I also got some sweat pants and a Kimono (I will have a post on the Kimono at a later date when I do my clothing haul.) Ross for me is kind of a hit or miss for me. I have really been wanting some sweat pants to wear around the house because sometimes I feel like a bum when I sit in my pjs all day. The first ones say #nofilter, that's so me because I pretty much say whatever I want whenever I want, and the second ones say #selfie. I was mostly drawn to them because they had the bright lettering and they are so light weight. They were so cheap to only $9.99.

This was all I got this week well besides some clothes I got that I'm saving for a Haul post.

I wanted to say something that has nothing to do with clothes or polish today is a very special day. 21 years ago today a little bundle of pain came into my life....my little sister Jenida was born. She is one of my best friends and someone I know I can count on to be there for me. She has become a beautiful woman and a terrific mom. She is the reason I went back to school and had always been there pushing me to do better. I want to wish her a very happy birthday and wish her good luck tomorrow on her Cosmetology test. You make me so proud and I love you so much Germ. (sorry for the pics but I had to)

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me. I hope you guys enjoyed.

It's Valentines Day So Lets Get Pretty

Hello beauties. How is everyone's Friday? Is anybody going to see the new Fifty Shades Of Grey movie tonight? I haven't decided if I'm going to go see it yet. I really just want to go an see it because Mr. Grey is a hottie. Well if you are going to spend Valentines day with your love or just going to go dancing with your girlfriends, I have a makeup look that can work for anything your little hearts desire.

I wanted to do an eye look that's neutral and sexy that would go with any lip you feel like wearing. It's pretty simple and I did the whole thing just using the Urban Decays Naked 2 Basics palette.
Skimp Stark Frisk Cover Primal Undone

I used Stark as an all over lid color. Frisk was used as a transition crease color. I mixed Cover and Primal and put them in the crease. I used Undone in the outer "V" area of my eyes and lastly I used Skimp on my inner corner and on the brow bone as a highlight. When I'm going to do a smoky eye I blend....like crazy. It helps to always have a clean fluffy blender brush handy, it makes blending and getting rid of the harsh lines so much easier. Always start with the smallest amount of product at first and just add more if you need to. I also like using a pencil brush when I'm going to add a dark color to the crease. Its easier to place the color where I want it, plus I have small eyes so it fits better. I always have to add more of the lid color when I'm finished blending out the crease because you're going to loose it. The thing about doing a smoky eye is that you have to practice it, it wont happen over night. I usually only do brown because it's more forgiving and I'm less likely to look like a raccoon when I'm done.
I also used the Benefit They're Real Pushup Liner to do a small wing. I really like this because the applicator makes it so much easier to use.

For my brows I used the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Chocolate.

Mascara is the Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes

Now for the fun part....LIPS!!!!! I did 4 different looks.
Red: Nars lip pencil in Cruella

Bright pink: NYX Shocking Pink

Brown: Palladio lip liner in Walnut
NYX lipstick in Butter

Nude pink: Bite lipstick in Fig
I stuck with this one for work.

I put my hair in a bun because its easy and classic but I added a "bump" at the crown.

Lastly, if I was going out for Valentines Day I like to be comfortable but cute. I never know where I'll be going or how long I will be there. So I went with my trusty black leggings, a black loose shirt and this cute as crap kimono. I got it at Ross last Tuesday an thought it would be good for Valentines Day because of the pink. I also liked that the print was tribal. I saw one that had roses but someone who will remain nameless **cough cough Leandro*** said it looked like an old lady. I got these Steve Madden Boots a few years ago for Christmas from my mom.

Well that's all folks. (Porky Pig was my favorite) I hope this helps you guys out with some ideas for that special day. The eye look is so neutral that it can really be worn anywhere you go. Thanks for stopping by, I hope everyone has a great Valentines Day and if you don't have a Valentine its ok, there's a lot of people out there that don't so you're really not alone. Remember I'll be your Valentine, so I'll be sending you a hug through this blog so put your arms out and pucker up because here it comes.

It's My Birthday....Dinner

Hey guys sorry this is going up so late, I'm an idiot and I forgot to take my laptop to work. But anyways I wanted to share with my peeps what I wore last night to dinner. I wasn't a big party but my wonderful hubby surprised me by inviting me some of my closest friends. He is so sweet. The funny thing is, today (February 4) is our 9 year anniversary and tomorrow is my actual (28th) birthday. But enough blab and more fab.

I really wanted to have dramatic eyes last night so I went all out. I had to use a few different palettes to get the look I wanted. I used Urban Decays Naked 2 and 3 and their Basics palette (the first one, I need the second one like a bad drug).

I used Faint and Naked 2 in my crease and upper crease
area as a transition color.
I also used W.O.S. as my brow highlight

I used Nooner in my crease area and a mix of Buzz and Trick to my lid area. Using Trick on the center of the lid. I also added a little of Limit on the lower lash line to smoke it out. (I used my finger to apply the lid color.)
I used Tease in the outer corner area and then dragged it into the crease to. I used Bootycall
(the color that's cut off) on the inner corner.

I used 3 different brushes. The black one is a dense blending brush that I love for placing color in my crease (tiny hooded eyes...damn you eyes). The top brush is a fluffier blending brush that I use to blend out the harsh lines. The last brush is  double ended. It has a flatter dense brush that is good for adding color to the crease. I use it at an angle with the bristles pointing down because it helps blend out the color. The other end is a dense pencil brush that is great for smoking out the lower lash line (this brush is so soft).

I did a small wing using the E.L.F. liquid liner in black. This thing is really good and it is only $1 (love itttt).
I highlighted under my eyes using Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15 Fair Clair. It's ok. It creases really fast and makes me look chalky. (I need a new on so if you guys have any recommendation let me know)
I did set my face because I know I can get a little shiny after a while. I really do like this powder and its really cheap.
I did my old faithful and used my favorite lip combo. I mean I really love this look. I want to go back to the 90's and buy all the lip colors that we hated seeing our moms in. I love a matte lip because it make me feel like my lips are bigger and I don't rub my lips together so much so it won't disappear.
I went big last night. I used falsies. I like the strips but the segments or clusters are a lot easier to apply. If you have never tried to apply lashes these are the easiest to do. When you apply them make sure you're looking down into a mirror, and place them where your lashes meet the skin on the lid. If you put them on the lid the oils of the skin will cause them to fall off. I take mine off by just applying a oily makeup remover to my eyes with my hand. They will slide right off. Don't pull them off you will loose some lashes. I used 4 clusters, 2 on each eye. I put them at the outer corners so they can give the "sexy" eyes without the dopy look.
I wanted to be comfy but stylish so I went with some distressed jeans from Marshall's, and a high-low black silky shirt, that I also got at Marshall's. The front has a deeeeep V-neck and the back has a cute simple trim detail. I wore a infinite scarf (big surprise) that has a colorful tribal pattern. On my feet I wore my comfy combat boots. They always add an edge to my outfits that I love.

NOW FOR THE PICTURES.
Sorry for this but I was TOTALLY feeling myself.

I hope you guys enjoy my little get ready with me.
I will be posting a birthday blog for fun.

"Hauler" If You Hear Me

Hello boys and girls, dogs and cats...(you never know is reading this blog with you..lol). How is everyone doing on this fine Friday? Is everyone excited about the game, just 2 days to go. I more excited about my birthday (not really, I hate knowing I'm going to be another year older). They say "as you get older you get wiser" uhhhh no not really. My body just starts to tell me that it is tired of all the crap I put it though. But less about me and more about what I bought this week.

I told you guys that I went to Marshals and TJMAXX earlier this week in search for a mew toy for Blue. well mission accomplished. We found the little booger a squeaky donut thing. We don't usually but him toys that are fabric and have stuffing because he can destroy them in minutes, literally. But this one has lasted 3 days already. Mostly because the stitching is tighter than Fort Knox and we only let him play with it when he's outside. He really does love it as you can tell by the pics below. We got it at Marshals for $13.00

I also got some stuff for the house. I use to be into have a lot of earthy tones in the house but now I want some color. So I want to get some more pictures and little décor. I found this picture that is to sweet. It was only $9.99. We have been needing to get a coat rack because we (Leandro/husband) tends to just hangs the coats on the dinning room chairs. We found this one for $20 and it is really nice. He hung up his coats (including a very heavy one) and it is holding strong. It has a top shelf that's handy for Blues coat too.

I found a mirrored plate thingy in the clearance aisle that I wanted to put in one of the bathrooms but decided to put it on the counter between the kitchen and living room instead. I thought it would be a good place to put our candles or keys or whatever is in the way lol. It is really nice and there wasn't anything wrong with it so I really don't know why it was on clearance. I know that if I went anywhere else that it would have been a lot more. I call this a great find.

Last but not least I had to check out the beauty stuff. There wasn't much, but I did find some Essie polishes that caught my eye. I'm really wishing it would start to get warm outside because I am so tired of this cold. Georgia weather is a real pain sometimes. We go from 102 in the summer to 32 in the winter. So because it doesn't want to be warm outside, I have to wear my bright colors on my nails. When one door closes there's always a window you can sneak through. Unless there's an alarm and then you're screwed. They both have a little iridescent to them and the coraly one dries darker than it looks in the bottle but it is still very pretty.

I hope you guys enjoyed. I know it's not as exciting as some of my past post but I want to start sharing what I got for the house because I'm planning on changing it and I wanted to share the journey.
