Bling Bling For Cheap Cheap

Hello beautifuls, how is everyone doing? I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Also I hope yall are staying warm. I am so mad because it wanted to "snow" yesterday but it didn't want to stick. I would love to be able to say home all day. This gloomy weather is great for sitting on the couch with a warm fire and a good book, I wish I had a new book. Anywho boos I have been obsessed with jewelry lately. So I have been on the hunt for some versatile pieces. If you are anything like me you like have pieces that you can wear any day at any time.

I was at Burlington a few months ago and found some bracelets that I thought I needed in my life. They are simple but can really add to an outfit. I love flowers in jewelry, its so delicate and feminine. The best part about them....$1.99. I like getting pieces that are cheap because if they break or I loose them I wont feel so bad. I really want to see if I can find one in an aqua or teal color and in white.

The next few pieces are from Wally World or Walmart. The best time to look for things is when the seasons are changing. I have been eyeing a few of these things for sometime now but never jumped the gun. They are originally $5 each which is not bad but I can think of other things that I can do with 5 big ones lol. The first one is a simple silver 2 chain (its 2 chainz, don't lie you know you just said it like he does haha) necklace with circles. I like it because I can really wear it with anything. This one was $1, steal.

The next 2 are the same but different colors. The store I went to only had these 2. I want to go to some of the other ones and see if I can find more. I got them because they were marked down to $3, so I was like what the hay lets do it. When we were leaving I looked at the receipt and saw the rang up as a $1 each. I saw that and the search has begun. I know that they have some other ones that are a little more "showy" that are now $5, down from $10. I haven't seen any of those that I really want but I'm going to keep looking.

I'm  planning on doing a little for hunting for some more stuff so I'll keep you guys updated. I just wanted to share a few things I got. I know that there are Walmarts all over the place so I thought I would share some of my finds so that you guys can go down there and see what treasures you can dig up. Happy hunting. Thanks for stopping by guys and for all the support.

Let's Get Organized.....Organized

Hey everybody, long time no see. Sorry I haven't been here in a while. I have kind of been in the slumps. I don't know why, I think life is just stating to weigh me down. I am trying to pull myself out of this slump and what better way to do that than to DIY and organize my makeup. I feel like that is something I can control because I can't control the world or the people in it. My OCD really starts to kick in when I am having a rough patch.

My beauty room need some real attention so the other day I tackled this massive job. I had to get a new "organizer" for my makeup so I went to Ross and Marshals. I like to use office and jewelry organizers. A year ago I went to the dollar store and found some blue plastic draw organizers that I use for eyeliners and lipgloss. I believe they were 3 for $2.  They interlock so that's a plus.

The first organizer I got was $8.99. It's a hard container that is used for office supplies. Its fabric which is nice looking but it is also prone to stains. It doesn't bother me much because I keep it in a cabinet. I have over grown it so I had to get a new one.

Come in the newer bigger container. This one was $9.99. I found it in the clearance aisle at Marshals down from $14.99. This one doesn't have the square parts, which I like because I can fit more. It is also deeper than the old one. The downfall, it wont fit in my cabinet but hey I can get over that. I just put a few things in there to show you how deep it is.
I needed something that would hold my pallets so I got to thinking, 'what holds thin flat things?', bingo bango mama had a great idea. A magazine/mail holder. At this moment it is holding 13 palettes.

For the best part of this.....the DIY. I love me some YouTube and yall now it. I have been following Ingrid Nilsen for some time now and I LOVE her GIY (Glam It Yourself). If you don't follow her go and do it right now. She is so cute and sweet and always makes my day better. Ingrid if your reading this (probably not, but I can hope) I love you and keep up the great work girl. Ok back to the DIY/GIY. She did this awesome thing with old Bath and Body Works candles. She put them in the freezer for an hour then took them out and used a butter knife to crack the left over candle and pull out the wicks. Then you wash them with some soap and hot water. This helps get the candle and sticky or burnt black stuff off the candle. The best way to get the last of the glue and residue off is to use some rubbing alcohol. I used  91% but you can use whatever you have. I have also used nail polish remover to. Once you have did the final wipe out you're all done. You can fill it with beads or sand or whatever your little hearts desire. Ingrid shows you how to do designs and other things to the jar. I needed something to hold my brushes and I thought hey lets have some fun. I have a lot of beads and rocks and all sorts of stuff so I used some white ones to hold them up.
Them in the freezer.

Frozen.

Implements needed.

Popping the leftovers out.

Before washing them out.

Completely cleaned out.

Finished product.
(Not all my brushes but some, lol)

You can do this with any candles to. I had a few Glad ones lying around and used them. I used them in my bathroom to hold cotton rounds and Q-tips. I like them because they look pricey but really the cost me $2.99 and had a double use.

I have some mason jar candles that I can't wait to do this to. I'm going to link Ingid's video below so you guys can check it out. I hope this gave you guys some organization ideas. I also hope this is a fun DIY you guys might want to try out. Thanks for stopping by and having a read.

Its Like Christmas Every Month

Hola peeps. How is everybody doing???? Its Friday!!!!! You know what that means...2 days till The Walking Dead. I live for that show. Its the only reason I love Sunday really, well besides the fact that its the last day of my work week. I think its so funny when people post things about hating Monday. Its my favorite day lol. Well now let us get to the good stuff.

I have been thinking about doing a post every month on what I get in my Ipsy Bag. If you don't know what that is you have been missing out. Its a monthly subscription that's $10 a month. It's like GlossyBox or Birch Box but cheaper and you get a free makeup bag. I am not and I repeat NOT indorsed or being paid to write this. I wish I could work for Ipsy, that would be the coolest thing ever. The bag is filled with 5-6 items, some are sample sizes and some are full size. You also get these great discount codes that you can use too. They also have ways for you to earn points that you can put towards whatever products that have on special. I have really learned about some new products and lines that I have never heard of or really wanted to try. They also send out every Tuesday an email that has one great steal but its only for the Ipsy customers.

This month I got some really great things. The first didn't fit in the bag so it came on the outside. Its the Lure large angles brush. I have gotten a lot of different brushes from them that I really love. This brush is so soft and I love the fact that it is a Duo-fiber brush. The colors not bad either.

The next thing is a blush called....wait for it wait for it...Blush lol. Sorry I had to do it. It's in the Peach Bellini. I'm wearing it right now and its really pretty. I can't wait to wear it in the summer because it has the slightest hint of shimmer. I put it on using the new brush.

I also got an eyeshadow by Rob Scheppy for 'tini beauty. Its in the color Pearl Fizz. Its a champagne color with some shimmer also.

I love it when I get a lip product because you know me I love me some lipstick and gloss. It's by Cargo Cosmetics. They have some of the most pigmented products so I knew this was going to be good. Its in the color Anguilla. Its a very pastel pink. Very bubblegum pink and very thick. I wouldn't put it on with the applicator because its not flattering on me but I like dabbing it on with my finger so its just a hint of color.

I also got a perfume sample. The one I got is kind of hard to read because the words kind of wore off. Its a roller ball type, which I love. The scent is very clean. Its something I know I will use in the summer and spring. I think its by No.1 parfumes.

Well guys I hope this helped you guys. It really feels like its Christmas every time I see that pink envelope in my mail box. Again I am not sponsored by Ipsy or anything. I just wanted to share with you guys what I got this month and I think every month I will. Thanks for stopping by. By the way I swatched the lip gloss, blush and eyeshadow below. (In that order)

Yes Sir May I Have Another....Polish That Is

Hello you gorgeous interweb people. How is the day treating you? Well I hope you guys are staying warm. I am freezing my buns off down here in HotLanta...NOT, I love the winter and all but this is getting redic. If its going to be cold enough to snow then let it freakin' snow. So let's move on to the more interesting stuff.....Nail Polish!!!!!! So I have to add something, as I was writing this it started to snow. I guess mother nature heard me and decided to let it snow. Me and my big mouth.

Ok so yesterday we went to Ross and I found some great deals. I got the Ciate polish (in Cream Soda) for .99, yes less than a dollar. I could not pass on that. The Formula X from Sephora (in UR Square, pink glittery one) for $2.99 and the other one (in Catalyst, purple one) for again .99. I don't know why they were so cheap because they work great. I guess they just had to get rid of them, hey I'll get them off your hands real quick for a dollar.

I got the Essie one (in Sable Collar) for $3.99 at Marshals. I have really been into the matte colors lately and I thought this color would look so cool matte. I also found this Rebel Chic kit by Orly in the clearance aisle. It was $8 for this thing. Now that's a deal because the polish alone is almost $10. It really caught my eye because of the pearl studs and the little skulls. I love the polish (in Iron Butterfly) because it has glitter and its a matte shade. Hello beautiful where have you been all my life. I mean I put it on last night and could not stop looking at my nails.

I didn't just get the polishes I also got some sweat pants and a Kimono (I will have a post on the Kimono at a later date when I do my clothing haul.) Ross for me is kind of a hit or miss for me. I have really been wanting some sweat pants to wear around the house because sometimes I feel like a bum when I sit in my pjs all day. The first ones say #nofilter, that's so me because I pretty much say whatever I want whenever I want, and the second ones say #selfie. I was mostly drawn to them because they had the bright lettering and they are so light weight. They were so cheap to only $9.99.

This was all I got this week well besides some clothes I got that I'm saving for a Haul post.

I wanted to say something that has nothing to do with clothes or polish today is a very special day. 21 years ago today a little bundle of pain came into my life....my little sister Jenida was born. She is one of my best friends and someone I know I can count on to be there for me. She has become a beautiful woman and a terrific mom. She is the reason I went back to school and had always been there pushing me to do better. I want to wish her a very happy birthday and wish her good luck tomorrow on her Cosmetology test. You make me so proud and I love you so much Germ. (sorry for the pics but I had to)

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me. I hope you guys enjoyed.

Mama got Chocolate For Dayssss

Hello my love bugs. How was everyone's weekend?? I hope everybody got some love *wink wink*. I had to work on Saturday night and had to do a split on Sunday so I didn't have a very romantic weekend but it was fun. I did show some Valentines spirit by wearing a red lip on Saturday.
Its Ruby Woo from Mac.

On my split the lovey man I call my husband took me to lunch and had a surprise wanting for me in the car. * Side story I went to get glasses for my birthday but had to wait for them to come in. The lady said it could take 7-10 days, well that was a lie. It took freakin' 13 days. It was killing me not to have them. I dropped a silver dollar on these things and I wanted them bad.* Sorry I had to rant for a second, any who so he surprised me with those first. I was so happy.
Dork alert.

My second surprise came when I got home. He first brings me out some flowers. They are so pretty. I love how colorful they are. I'm really not a rose girl so I'm happy he remembered. I love carnations.

My next surprise was a bag full of chocolate. He is a very smart boy because he got everything on Sunday . He didn't have time to get it on Saturday because we had to go grocery shopping and then go to work and he also knew that he could get me a lot more the day after Valentines because everything is so much cheaper. I mean he got 3 different bags of candy (big ones) for a third of their original price.
I was searching through the bag and found some great goodies at the bottom. I have been telling him for a long time that I wanted some more of the Real Techniques Brushes. So I found these two babies at the bottom of my bag. I can not wait to put these to some work. I know I'm going to go back and get the rest of them real soon.

The last thing is Bruno. He is the softest and cutest thing in the world. Leandro got it for $2.50. I mean nothing warms my heart more than a man who can shop and save money.

I know this is a different kind of post but I just wanted to show you guys my new brushes and glasses. I know he got them at Walmart for a good deal so if you guys don't have an Ulta or Sephora close by check out your local Walmart. I hope you guys had a great weekend and have a great week ahead. Talk to you guys soon.

It's Valentines Day So Lets Get Pretty

Hello beauties. How is everyone's Friday? Is anybody going to see the new Fifty Shades Of Grey movie tonight? I haven't decided if I'm going to go see it yet. I really just want to go an see it because Mr. Grey is a hottie. Well if you are going to spend Valentines day with your love or just going to go dancing with your girlfriends, I have a makeup look that can work for anything your little hearts desire.

I wanted to do an eye look that's neutral and sexy that would go with any lip you feel like wearing. It's pretty simple and I did the whole thing just using the Urban Decays Naked 2 Basics palette.
Skimp Stark Frisk Cover Primal Undone

I used Stark as an all over lid color. Frisk was used as a transition crease color. I mixed Cover and Primal and put them in the crease. I used Undone in the outer "V" area of my eyes and lastly I used Skimp on my inner corner and on the brow bone as a highlight. When I'm going to do a smoky eye I blend....like crazy. It helps to always have a clean fluffy blender brush handy, it makes blending and getting rid of the harsh lines so much easier. Always start with the smallest amount of product at first and just add more if you need to. I also like using a pencil brush when I'm going to add a dark color to the crease. Its easier to place the color where I want it, plus I have small eyes so it fits better. I always have to add more of the lid color when I'm finished blending out the crease because you're going to loose it. The thing about doing a smoky eye is that you have to practice it, it wont happen over night. I usually only do brown because it's more forgiving and I'm less likely to look like a raccoon when I'm done.
I also used the Benefit They're Real Pushup Liner to do a small wing. I really like this because the applicator makes it so much easier to use.

For my brows I used the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Chocolate.

Mascara is the Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes

Now for the fun part....LIPS!!!!! I did 4 different looks.
Red: Nars lip pencil in Cruella

Bright pink: NYX Shocking Pink

Brown: Palladio lip liner in Walnut
NYX lipstick in Butter

Nude pink: Bite lipstick in Fig
I stuck with this one for work.

I put my hair in a bun because its easy and classic but I added a "bump" at the crown.

Lastly, if I was going out for Valentines Day I like to be comfortable but cute. I never know where I'll be going or how long I will be there. So I went with my trusty black leggings, a black loose shirt and this cute as crap kimono. I got it at Ross last Tuesday an thought it would be good for Valentines Day because of the pink. I also liked that the print was tribal. I saw one that had roses but someone who will remain nameless **cough cough Leandro*** said it looked like an old lady. I got these Steve Madden Boots a few years ago for Christmas from my mom.

Well that's all folks. (Porky Pig was my favorite) I hope this helps you guys out with some ideas for that special day. The eye look is so neutral that it can really be worn anywhere you go. Thanks for stopping by, I hope everyone has a great Valentines Day and if you don't have a Valentine its ok, there's a lot of people out there that don't so you're really not alone. Remember I'll be your Valentine, so I'll be sending you a hug through this blog so put your arms out and pucker up because here it comes.
