Fresh Nails

Hey guys and girls. How is everyone's day going so far? Beautamis I'm hoping. I hope everyone enjoyed Thursdays post. I was fun looking through all those old pictures. Man it's crazy what we use to think was cool. Thank you parents for the wonderful hair styles. lol

Today I'm going to share what I have on my nails and the new polishes I picked up these past few weeks. I love getting new colors. It's like getting a new hair color but not as permanent. (I have commitment problems....with my nail color.) I know it's a little early for a Valentines Day look but I was planning on doing a few different ones in the next couple of days.

The one I'm rockin' now is simple but cute as a button. I used a black nail art polish that I didn't take a picture of because you can't read the bottle anymore but I got it at Five Below for real cheap. If you guys can get to a Five Below I say you get there. Don't walk run because they always have specials on their polishes and its really good stuff. I am not good at the cute little decorations but the hearts that I put on my nails were so easy. If you don't have a steady hand you can always use a Sharpie marker to do the designs. There is an eyeliner brush from E.L.F. that I want to get and see if that makes it easier.

For the heart start with some pressure at the top to make a hump for the top of the heart. When you start to come down the nail lift the brush so that it is thinner to make the point. Repeat for the other side. I practiced a few time on a piece of paper to get the hang of it.

This is the color I used for the base. I saw it and it hit me....I am doing a V-day nail look with this. It is such a pretty pick that has a blue iridescences to it. If you were to buy this at Ulta or Sephora you would pay at least $10. I got it for $4.99 at Marshals.

I love OPI's Nail Envy because it really does work. My nails are so much stronger and grow so much faster now. I was getting low on my old one and I didn't want to go to Sally's and spend $16 again. I was doing my once over in the beauty stuff at TJMAXX and I saw this combo pack for the Nail Envy and the OPI Drip Dry. My husband has been telling me that I need to get something to help my nails dry faster because he's tired of me complaining about me messing up my nails all the time. I had never tried the Drip Dry before and I really didn't think that it would work. Much to my surprise it did. I really don't know how but those suckers were dry before bed time. I have these horizontal ridges on my nails, I don't know why, probably because I'm lacking something in my diet, but I found this Essie Ridge Filler and I wanted to see if it would do anything for me. I did notice that the polish is smoother when I run my fingers over my nail but who knows. I'm going to keep using it to see if it does anything. I'll keep you posted...lol get it posted...ha I crack myself up.
The Nail Envy and Drip Dry were $6.99 for the 2
The Essie Ridge Filler was $4.99
I am in love with the miniature dropper.
me + miniatures = heaven

I also found some glitter polishes that I want to use in another V-day look. They were both $2.99 and to die for.
This is the V-day one

This one might just work for a "Not so V-day" look. lol

Lastly I got a lime green color that looked to fun to pass up and its one of the Sephora X brand. I once got a sample of a taupe color with my points and I loved the way that it went on. Every time I see one in the stores I have to get it. I have a black and white poka dot one and it's so concentrated with the specks its crazy.  The X brand was $4.99 but I still see that as a great deal.

Well guys I hope you enjoyed. I'm going to post the other V-day look soon, so keep your eye out for it.

Love yall
-Jessica
