I really wanted to have dramatic eyes last night so I went all out. I had to use a few different palettes to get the look I wanted. I used Urban Decays Naked 2 and 3 and their Basics palette (the first one, I need the second one like a bad drug).
I used Faint and Naked 2 in my crease and upper crease
area as a transition color.
I also used W.O.S. as my brow highlight
I used Nooner in my crease area and a mix of Buzz and Trick to my lid area. Using Trick on the center of the lid. I also added a little of Limit on the lower lash line to smoke it out. (I used my finger to apply the lid color.)
I used Tease in the outer corner area and then dragged it into the crease to. I used Bootycall
(the color that's cut off) on the inner corner.
I used 3 different brushes. The black one is a dense blending brush that I love for placing color in my crease (tiny hooded eyes...damn you eyes). The top brush is a fluffier blending brush that I use to blend out the harsh lines. The last brush is double ended. It has a flatter dense brush that is good for adding color to the crease. I use it at an angle with the bristles pointing down because it helps blend out the color. The other end is a dense pencil brush that is great for smoking out the lower lash line (this brush is so soft).
I did a small wing using the E.L.F. liquid liner in black. This thing is really good and it is only $1 (love itttt).
I highlighted under my eyes using Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15 Fair Clair. It's ok. It creases really fast and makes me look chalky. (I need a new on so if you guys have any recommendation let me know)
I did set my face because I know I can get a little shiny after a while. I really do like this powder and its really cheap.
I did my old faithful and used my favorite lip combo. I mean I really love this look. I want to go back to the 90's and buy all the lip colors that we hated seeing our moms in. I love a matte lip because it make me feel like my lips are bigger and I don't rub my lips together so much so it won't disappear.
I went big last night. I used falsies. I like the strips but the segments or clusters are a lot easier to apply. If you have never tried to apply lashes these are the easiest to do. When you apply them make sure you're looking down into a mirror, and place them where your lashes meet the skin on the lid. If you put them on the lid the oils of the skin will cause them to fall off. I take mine off by just applying a oily makeup remover to my eyes with my hand. They will slide right off. Don't pull them off you will loose some lashes. I used 4 clusters, 2 on each eye. I put them at the outer corners so they can give the "sexy" eyes without the dopy look.
I wanted to be comfy but stylish so I went with some distressed jeans from Marshall's, and a high-low black silky shirt, that I also got at Marshall's. The front has a deeeeep V-neck and the back has a cute simple trim detail. I wore a infinite scarf (big surprise) that has a colorful tribal pattern. On my feet I wore my comfy combat boots. They always add an edge to my outfits that I love.
NOW FOR THE PICTURES.
Sorry for this but I was TOTALLY feeling myself.
I hope you guys enjoy my little get ready with me.
I will be posting a birthday blog for fun.
Thanks for reading
Love yall
