"Hauler" If You Hear Me

Hello boys and girls, dogs and cats...(you never know is reading this blog with you..lol). How is everyone doing on this fine Friday? Is everyone excited about the game, just 2 days to go. I more excited about my birthday (not really, I hate knowing I'm going to be another year older). They say "as you get older you get wiser" uhhhh no not really. My body just starts to tell me that it is tired of all the crap I put it though. But less about me and more about what I bought this week.

I told you guys that I went to Marshals and TJMAXX earlier this week in search for a mew toy for Blue. well mission accomplished. We found the little booger a squeaky donut thing. We don't usually but him toys that are fabric and have stuffing because he can destroy them in minutes, literally. But this one has lasted 3 days already. Mostly because the stitching is tighter than Fort Knox and we only let him play with it when he's outside. He really does love it as you can tell by the pics below. We got it at Marshals for $13.00

I also got some stuff for the house. I use to be into have a lot of earthy tones in the house but now I want some color. So I want to get some more pictures and little décor. I found this picture that is to sweet. It was only $9.99. We have been needing to get a coat rack because we (Leandro/husband) tends to just hangs the coats on the dinning room chairs. We found this one for $20 and it is really nice. He hung up his coats (including a very heavy one) and it is holding strong. It has a top shelf that's handy for Blues coat too.

I found a mirrored plate thingy in the clearance aisle that I wanted to put in one of the bathrooms but decided to put it on the counter between the kitchen and living room instead. I thought it would be a good place to put our candles or keys or whatever is in the way lol. It is really nice and there wasn't anything wrong with it so I really don't know why it was on clearance. I know that if I went anywhere else that it would have been a lot more. I call this a great find.

Last but not least I had to check out the beauty stuff. There wasn't much, but I did find some Essie polishes that caught my eye. I'm really wishing it would start to get warm outside because I am so tired of this cold. Georgia weather is a real pain sometimes. We go from 102 in the summer to 32 in the winter. So because it doesn't want to be warm outside, I have to wear my bright colors on my nails. When one door closes there's always a window you can sneak through. Unless there's an alarm and then you're screwed. They both have a little iridescent to them and the coraly one dries darker than it looks in the bottle but it is still very pretty.

I hope you guys enjoyed. I know it's not as exciting as some of my past post but I want to start sharing what I got for the house because I'm planning on changing it and I wanted to share the journey.

Thanks for reading
Love yall

Look At Me Look At Me....Well What I Wore On My Face and Body

Hello you gorgeous internet people. Guess what day it is...it's hump day!!!!! We're half way though the week. Are yall ready for the weekend and the BIG GAME. Me not so much. Superbowl Sunday is one of our busiest days at the restaurant. So I know I will be ripin' and roarin' that day. But none of yall came here to talk about Sunday. So lets get this party started.

Yesterday me and the hubs went to shopping. We were on a mission to find a new toy for Blue (our pibble). We went to where else TJMAXX and Marshals (big surprise) because that boy can tear through a toy in less than 5 minutes so we go though a lot of toys. That little brat....lol.

For Christmas Poots (Leandro/husband) bought me some infinity scarves at Walmart. I am in LOVE with them. I believe I have a total of 22. Yes it's a problem. You can't beat 2 for $4.99. But any who boo, he got me a red and black one that I really wanted to wear so I based my whole outfit around it.

It's a simple look but I really just wanted to scarf to be the focal point.
So here's the break down:
Scarf: Walmart $4.99 for 2
Sweater: Rue 21 it was $7.99 (I had some coupon but they are so cheap anyways)
Jeans: Marshals or TJMAXX $16.99
Coat: Ross for $16.99
Boots: Off Broadway for $80 (originally $145 last year)

I love how simple this look is but yet it can be dressed up at the same time. I have always thought I had a "classic" style. I believe I should have been born in a different era. Me and Marilyn would have been BFFS.lol

Now on to my face. I didn't want to do to much so I did my standard "base" (if you don't know what that is just check out my post on my everyday face). I changed one thing. Instead of using my beloved NYX blush I used Milani's Baked Blush in Luminoso ( I had to get it because Nikki Tutorials on Youtube raves about it so I had to have it).
I'm in love with it.

For the eyes I used my Benefit Hula as a crease color because its such a warm brown and its so easy to blend it into really any color. For my lid and under my brow I used my Urban Decay Basics palette. I mixed Foxy and W.O.S. If you ever want a palette that is great and can do anything with get this. I mean I used it on my mom and she loves it so much she wants one now. Its just so handy.
Look at that mani. If you guys want to see how I did it just let me know.

I also filled in my brows using the E.L.F's eyebrow kit in brunette(???). I really only used the waxy side to fill in the gaps and darken them a little. I don't fill them in everyday only on special occasions and when it's my day off.

For my lashes I used a sample of Tarte's  Lights Camera Lashes. This stuff is so nice. I gives my lashes the baboom I really want.

Now for my favorite part.....lips. I love matte lips especially in the winter. I was watching one of Chrisspy's vidoes on Youtube and she had this matte browny/orange li[ and I was like "oooo girl I need that". So I remembered in one of my Ipsy bags I got this lip liner named Baby Doll (I don't know who its by...Sry) and this lipstick in Cappuccino, it's a City Color Be Matte lipstick. I mean hello lady I was in like fin.
Excuse Boxer. He is very vain and always wants to be in the picture

The finished product!!!! Look at that sexiness. I'm sorry that it's just pouring off of your screen.lol

I hope you guys had fun reading. I want to thank everyone who has supported me and my blog. It really means a lot to me. With you guys I know I will make it.

Love yall

So Fresh and So Clean....Face That Is

Hello my beautiful people. How is everybody doing? Wonderful...that's great. I am here to share with you my skin care routine. It's not very fancy or extravagant it's actually very simple.

I learned a lot in esthetics school about how the skin works and how to put your best face forward. in school we used the Dermalogica skin care line. It is a very good line that uses mostly natural ingredients but it is a bit pricey. You can buy their products online or in store like Ulta and Sephora. The best part about their lines is that you can "cocktail" their products to what your skin needs.

I have oily skin that is dry in some spots and is very testy and can brake out at the drop of the hat. I break out mostly on my cheeks and get millia (hard "balls" of oil under the skin) in my under eye area. Because I have oily skin I have large pores that get clogged easily.

Now for the fun part. I use the Dermalogica Special Cleanse (oily skin cleanser), their Daily Microfoliant (exfoliant), and Alba Botanica Acne Dote (astringent). Everybody should exfoliate their face at least twice a week depending on their skin. People who thin skin shouldn't exfoliate to much because their skin is prone to getting "torn". I exfoliate everyday but not with a harsh granular (grainy) exfoliant. I also use the Olay Professional brush every other day (helps exfoliate my face). To save on time (because sometimes we just don't have that much time) I mix the Daily Microfoliant with the cleanser (look at me killin' 2 steps with 1 stone).  Exfoliating also helps you get rid of the old cells that sit on top of your skin (these cells make ya look older...uhh no thank you). By the way don't forget to include your neck because when we age our neck and hands scream to the world how old we really are.

So after I'm done washing my face I pat it dry and use my Alba Acne Dote. It is always good to tone the face so I put a little in a spray bottle and spray it all over my face. Toner or astringent not only helps remove any left over residue but it also moistens the face before you apply your moisturizer. I always use my Clean and Clear Advantage acne control moisturizer BUT I mix it with either my Dermalogica Active Moist (in the morning, helps control my oil) or my Equate Night-Time firming cream (at night, because mama needs to keep her face lookin' young). I really like the Clean and Clear because I have noticed that it is helping keep my break outs on the low low.

When I have to take my eye makeup off I use the Equate Beauty Oil-Free eye makeup remover. This stuff is really really good. I wear contacts and have pretty sensitive eyes and it doesn't bother me at all.

Sometimes when my face is in need of some extra lovin' I use the Glamglow SuperMud Clearing Treatment. I got this for Christmas from my husband (who bought it at Marshals). I love this so much because I'm one of those weirdos who likes watching the stuff come out of my skin. It's so liberating lol. I usually just put it on my problem areas such as my nose, chin and cheeks. Glamglow also has a hydrating mask that I use when my face is thirsty.

I don't use an eye cream because I'm on the hunt for an oil-free yet nourishing one because the ones I have tried cause millia under my eyes and they are so annoying (like little mountains of yuck...ewww). So if you guys have any suggestions please help a sista out.

I hope this has helped you all or at least gave you some ideas if you're in the market for some new facial products.

Today I'm going to leave you with some sexy photos of me with my mask. Please if you have a weak stomach do not look at them...lol

So sexy...lol NOT!!!! I have coconut oil in my hair that's why it looks so greasy. Look at those pores just gettin' so clear.

Hoped you enjoyed reading.

My Everyday Face

Hello beautiful people!!!
How is everyone's weekend going so far? I hope everyone is doing great, I on the other hand am spending my Saturday night at work. Blahhh. Any who boo, I wanted to share my everyday face with you guys. Well not my face face but the makeup that I wear everyday. It does change depending on how I'm feeling or how much time I have to send on it. I do a little more on my days off because I have extra time to make myself look fine...lol not really but we will go with it.

I work in a BBQ restaurant (for now) so I really don't like putting to much on my face because I do have an oily face that is prone to breakouts. I will be sharing my skin care routine with you guys on Monday so hold onto your seats till then. But lets get off that tangent and back to what we all here for....MAKEUP!!!!!!!

Like I said I don't wear to much the picture below shows the "foundation" items:

I use a foundation mixture in Revlon Age Defying Firm and Lift in 30 Soft Beige and Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless in 125 Nude Beige. My bronzer is a sample of Benefit's Hula Bronzer (I love this stuff). My go to winter/fall blush is by NYX in PB04 Silky Rose and last but not least my everyday (except when I want boom in your face lashes) is the Maybelline Great Lash (oh how it brings back memories of my mom doing her makeup when I was little).

The "tools" I use are the beloved cult classic Beauty Blender (I need the little baby ones they make because I love miniature things lol), and 2 E.L.F (Eyes Lips Face) brushes. Sidebar for a second I love E.L.F. they are sooooo cheap but they have some of the best stuff especially if you are just starting out in makeup and you want to start your collection. The brushes are so nice too. I use the E.L.F professional Total Face Brush for my bronzer and the E.L.F Stippling Brush for my blush because it doesn't pick up to much product so its not a harsh clown look.

I mix the 2 foundations and dot them all over my face and blend them out with the Beauty Blender, making sure that I cover my neck and ears too...we don't need the mask face ladies, I had a teacher in the fourth grade that didn't blend it out and I always wanted to run up to her and finish the job she started. Oh how it errks the bajeshish out of me.

I then proceed to apply my bronzer to my cheeks, temples and neck (DON'T FORGET THE NECK) and use my stippling for my blush. I apply blush to the apples of my cheeks and blend back to my hairline. I put a little on my nose and forehead because this is such a warm color it looks natural. Please don't do this with a bright pink because you will look like you have rosacea.

On to the next on on to the next (name that song lol). Its my favorite part.....LASHES!!! I don't know about you guys but when I curl my lashes it makes such a difference. I have good lashes I think but the curling makes the look so sexy. I got the Great Lash on sale on Black Friday for $2.99. It is so good to be drugstore product, plus the brush is to cool.
Left eye has mascara and the right does not

I don't wear lipstick to work (I don't know how people will react to me wearing MACs Rebel to a BBQ restaurant lol) so I just put on some of my new found fave that I got in my January Ipsy bag which is (MALIN+GOETZ) mojito lip balm. then I'm done. It usually takes me all of 5-10 minutes depending on who bothers me while I'm trying to get ready.

I hope you guys enjoyed and it helped you a little bit. This is also good for high school or college students or even moms who have really no time. Or if you are like me and you just don't want to have to fuss to much but you don't want to go out bare faceded. Oh my terminology is so scholar.

Thanks for reading. Love guys for all the support.

It's Polish Time

Hello ladies and gents!!!!

It's me again. So today I'm gonna be talking about polish and some of my tips and tricks. First off I get a lot of my polish from TJMAXX and Marshals (big surprise lol). I really can't see myself paying almost $10 for a polish, unless its a color I can't live without.

I recently went to my homes away from home (TJMAXX , Marshals and Walmart) and found some great colors. I  have really been into gold and glitter. I did a 2 different looks with some of the colors I got.

Essie Serial Shopper (4.99)                            OPI Carpe Diem (2.99)
OPI Where's My Blanket??(3.99)               Pure Ice Flawless (1.98)
While I was at TJMAXX I was looking for something to hold all my polishes because right now I have them in a tub and it is not cute. So I went to the storage area and they didn't have a makeup holder that would fit the different sides bottles until I went into the stationary aisle and found this baby...

OMG it is wonderful. I haven't filled it yet but man I love how its clear so I can see all the colors and it was only $9.99. I need to go get some more be I can use it for all my eyeshadows and blushes. oh how I love multipurpose items.

Tips: I have a dotting tool that I got with a stripping brush for $2 at Five Below but before I bought them I used a toothpick for dotting and a pen (dead) to make the lines. I also like to use old or really cheap makeup brushes to add detail and clean up the edges. The best ones to use are the slanted eyeliner brushes.

I hope this helped a little or at least gave you something to do to kill some time.

Thanks for reading lovebugs.

How to make an eight dollar dress look like a million bucks

So this is my first blog and I'm really nervous. I have been wanting to start one for so long now and I never had the courage to do it. So here goes nothin' (well not really because I'm gonna write something).

To start off I'm going to share a little about myself. I was born and raised in the sweet peach state (Georgia if you didn't know that we are the peach state). I just finished school for esthetics. Many people don't know what that is so I usually tell them I'm a skin therapist. I have a true obsession with makeup and fashion. The only thing I love more is a deal. I live to save money so my favorite places to shop is TJMAXX, Marshals and Ross. Why spend retail if you can get it or half price. I also love to cook so some of these blogs will have recipes to. But enough about me its time for the good stuff.....Clothing!!!!!!

Today I went to Ross and found the cutest black dress for $8....yes 8 big ones. It by the company Vibe. Its got caped sleeves and its got a skater skirt. I'm in love with dresses they are so simple but yet so easy to dress up or down. So I did four different looks using the dress and some stuff I had in my closet. A lot of the things I paired it with I've had for a long time so you might not be able to find the exact same stuff but I'm pretty sure it wont be hard to find something along these lines.

The pictures I'm going to post aren't that great but I am planning to get a better camera (hopefully on sale lol).

Look 1: Casual day. Beige cardigan with lace detail and some low top sneakers.

Look 2: Rebel. Combat boots and a cutoff sleeved jean jacket with a little lace detail and a scarf that has skulls.
Look 3: Date Night. Textured stockings, black booties and a pop of blue just to jazz it up.Look 4: Fun in the sun. Black sandals and a pink belt for fun.
 Thanks for reading!!!!! -Jessica
